About the Role

Design security architectures, validate solution blueprints, and oversee platform specifications for proxy, firewall, and intrusion prevention systems. Own delivery streams for complex security engineering initiatives, lead resolution of implementation challenges, and ensure enterprise-grade reliability. Evaluate and implement emerging AI/ML security capabilities to enhance threat detection and response. Partner with Architecture and Integration teams to validate enterprise security strategies and ensure seamless operational handover. Mentor and coach team members, demonstrate engineering excellence, and contribute to security engineering standards and best practices. Prioritize security technology roadmaps and drive platform strategies through stakeholder collaboration and vendor engagement. Lead cross-functional teams to design integrated, multi-layered security solutions optimized for enterprise scale.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Architecture and Integration teams to validate enterprise security strategies and ensure seamless operational handover
  • Mentor and coach team members, demonstrate engineering excellence, and contribute to security engineering standards and best practices
  • Prioritize security technology roadmaps and drive platform strategies through stakeholder collaboration and vendor engagement
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design integrated, multi-layered security solutions optimized for enterprise scale

Requirements

  • 7–10 years in IT with 5+ years designing and engineering enterprise security technologies (proxy, firewall, IPS/threat detection)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
  • Expert proficiency in proxy/URL filtering (Symantec WSG, Palo Alto SWG) and firewall design (Check Point, Palo Alto Networks)
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and complex problem-solving capabilities with ability to design integrated, multi-layered solutions
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, and deadline-driven; proven ability to deliver high-quality outputs with minimal oversight
  • Advanced security certifications (GIAC, CISSP, CEH) or equivalent domain expertise
  • Python automation experience for configuration, testing, or operational efficiency improvements
  • Experience with AI/ML integration patterns or emerging security technologies (Model Context Protocol, Network Security protection of LLM’s and AI Workloads)
  • Hands-on experience with Intrusion Prevention Systems and threat detection/anomaly detection technologies
