About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated Senior Security Developer to build and deploy scalable security solutions across On-Premises and Cloud environments. You will focus on executing a Security-As-A-Service strategy by designing, building, and rolling out API integrations and automations for critical RBC Security platforms, with an emphasis on transitioning to a SAST platform within the CI/CD pipeline using Python.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and debug software applications and automations.
  • Translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable solutions.
  • Transition and implement SAST platforms within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Build and maintain deployment pipelines to cloud platforms (e.g., OpenShift, AWS, Azure).
  • Containerize and deploy applications.
  • Integrate security tools with existing infrastructure.
  • Enhance security through proactive monitoring solutions.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for production issues and provide solutions.
  • Scale automation capabilities beyond cyber teams to broader IT and business units.
  • Establish strong working relationships across business units to support integration projects.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Python development experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience in cloud security, SOC engineering, endpoint protection, and malware/attack testing.
  • Demonstrated passion through participation in security initiatives.
  • Proven expertise supporting SOAR platforms.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices.
  • Strong understanding of security tools (Firewalls, IPS/IDS, EDR, XDR).
  • Experience with public and private cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift).
  • Previous experience implementing SRE best practices.
  • Previous experience working with system monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana or Prometheus.
  • Proven experience integrating 3rd party systems via API.
  • Prior experience with Unix command line/CLI, Docker, and Podman.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices (code standards, reviews, testing methodologies).
  • Demonstrated skills with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with Lang Chain and Lang Graph.
  • Experience and exposure to vector databases, LLMs and RAG pipelines.
  • Cybersecurity related certifications from recognized organizations such as ISC2, CompTia or others.
