About the Role

Join our R&D team to build and shape the next generation of products that transform how organizations around the world use data. You will work on our core Contextual Decision Intelligence offering, The Quantexa Platform, which helps customers solve business problems in areas such as fraud, financial crime, and data management by processing, analyzing, and displaying huge volumes of data to detect anomalous and suspicious activity.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deliver high-quality, well-engineered solutions to complex problems.
Take a big-picture approach to solving problems, ensuring solutions integrate well within the wider system.
Utilize Scala, functional programming, Akka, Monix, event sourcing, and CQRS for scalable, high-performance distributed systems.
Work with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Elasticsearch).
Build data processing pipelines for production batch systems, including ETL and analytics pipelines.
Manipulate data through cleansing, parsing, and standardizing to improve data quality and integrity.

Requirements

Commercial Scala and Functional Programming experience (or relevant commercial background like Java with non-commercial Scala experience).
Experience with the full engineering lifecycle, from design and implementation through testing and deployment.
Experience with DevOps tooling and approaches.
