About the Role

This role sits within the Valuation Group of the Integrated Reporting Department, responsible for delivering high-quality actuarial valuation results for capital and embedded value reporting. The team supports annual business planning and quarterly forecasting, with a focus on economic assumptions setting, variance analysis, and ensuring alignment between valuation outputs and pricing profitability metrics. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain end-to-end exposure across IFRS, capital and embedded value reporting, providing a holistic view of financial performance. The position combines technical actuarial work with business impact, including direct contribution to key financial metrics and close interaction with senior stakeholders across actuarial, finance, and investment functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead economic assumption setting and maintain portfolio rate models in alignment with Group governance frameworks
  • Review pricing profitability for new products and provide actuarial opinions to senior stakeholders
  • Perform reconciliation between pricing and valuation models to ensure consistency of profitability metrics
  • Analyze economic variances and provide insights to support the management of financial volatility
  • Contribute to business planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis under changing economic conditions
  • Contribute to Group-wide transformation initiatives to enhance automation, modeling efficiency, and reporting transparency
  • Collaborate with actuarial, pricing, and investment teams to ensure consistency between pricing, valuation and reporting outputs

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of actuarial experience, preferably with a focus on actuarial valuation or asset-liability management (ALM)
  • Fellowship or progress toward fellowship in a recognized international actuarial professional body
  • Strong technical expertise in actuarial concepts, particularly in Economic capital, and embedded value (TEV or MCEV) frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with actuarial modeling tools (e.g. Prophet), advanced Excel skills, and end-to-end valuation processes
  • Business-level proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, cross-functional environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with accountants and finance teams to reach alignment in economic assumptions and asset valuation
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the application of actuarial knowledge
  • Ability to articulate and translate actuarial analysis and business insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Exposure to pricing, finance, investment, or project management disciplines is an added score
