About the Role

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking an Estates Operation Manager to lead and develop Estates & Facilities services, ensuring operational goals and KPIs are met. This role involves financial responsibility for OpEx & CapEx budgets and requires proactive management and communication during operational issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, management, and development of the Estates & Facilities services, ensuring operational commitments & Key Performance Indicators are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure Cleveland Clinic London policies and processes are effectively communicated and implemented within the Estates services.
  • Develops Preventative Maintenance needed for maintaining building systems in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and relevant HTM and HBN’s.
  • Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented across CCL.
  • Ensure optimum staffing structures operate to ensure the delivery of service excellence.
  • Ensure structures support workload requirements.
  • Ensuring post holders are fully competent, and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place.
  • Working with other operational managers to ensure the collaborative development of support services, effective team working, and support to caregivers.
  • Ensure appropriate control systems to ensure statutory, mandatory and policy commitments are met.
  • Ensuring a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key stakeholders and caregivers.
  • Provision of leadership and guidance, advice, coaching and direct support, where required to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment and recognition/reward.
  • Other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Professional/academic qualification at degree level or equivalent experience in a Technical or Estates discipline.
  • Good knowledge of statutory and mandatory tasks required for infrastructure systems.
  • Evidence of continuing personal and professional development in Estates & Facilities Management disciplines.
  • Authorised Person qualification.
  • Registration as member of IHEEM/IWFM or similar.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and safety or IOSH Health and Safety and working towards NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Significant experience in a senior manager position, in the estates and facilities management sector.
  • Evidence of successful projects/programmes of work within agreed constraints e.g. budgets, timescales.
  • Demonstratable knowledge of best practice in Hard FM standards, and a robust knowledge base of NHS technical guidance and standards (HTM's and HBN's).
  • Have at least one relevant area of technical expertise (electrical, fire, medical gases, decontamination, water safety etc).
  • Demonstrable experience of having managed teams, Operational budgets and contracts.
  • Strong understanding and experience of Operational Building Services is essential.
  • Previous experience of CAFM Systems is required.
