About the Role

PlayStation is seeking individuals passionate about innovation, technology, and gaming to join their global team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining systems that support PlayStation manufacturing, operating in a mission-critical environment requiring high security, availability, and quality. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders across hardware design, manufacturing, and supply chain to deploy systems globally.

Responsibilities

Analyze stakeholder requirements and define system requirements, primarily for PlayStation product design and manufacturing departments.
Drive system and software architecture design, development, testing, and implementation in on-premises/container-based environments.
Design, build, and operate applications and systems with high availability and security.
Promote performance improvements, quality enhancements, and continuous operational improvements.
Analyze business requirements and system issues, designing systems with data integrity and transaction considerations.
Drive development from a technical perspective in collaboration with development teams, including external partners.
Conduct technical reviews, quality control, progress management, and collaboration promotion with external development partners.
Promote overall system efficiency by leveraging knowledge of on-premises/container-based environments and software development.

Requirements

Experience in application design, development, and maintenance for IT systems prioritizing high availability, quality, and security.
Experience in system development and operation within a Linux environment.
Experience in development and operation using container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
Full-stack development experience.
API design and implementation experience.
System design and development experience using relational databases.
Experience in analyzing and modeling complex business domains.
System design experience considering integrity and transactions.
Experience in developing and operating large-scale systems.
Ability to communicate technical information in English.
Ability to participate in meetings, design reviews, technical discussions, and document creation with global team members.
Native-level Japanese proficiency.
