About the Role

Administrator to support the delivery of grant programmes, community asset processes and wider business support activities within the Strategy, Engagement, Culture and Sustainability team. This role contributes to strengthening Barnet's voluntary, community and faith sector by helping local organisations access funding and make the most of community assets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and administrative support across a range of programmes.
  • Ensure applications, payments, monitoring data and records are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Work closely with colleagues, community organisations and stakeholders to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure robust governance and compliance.
  • Manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and delivering a high standard of service.
  • Provide administrative and business support, including data management, minute taking, report writing, customer service and handling confidential information.
  • Manage financial records and monitoring information.
  • Ensure systems, processes and documentation are accurate, compliant and up to date.
  • Communicate effectively with strong verbal and written skills.
  • Build positive relationships with colleagues, community organisations and external stakeholders.
  • Work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Excellent administrator with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience providing administrative and business support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and competing demands.
  • Must be a redeployee within Barnet Council.
  • Must be currently at Grade E or Grade F.
