About the Role

As a Software Engineer at the RIPE NCC, you will join a diverse and talented team working on systems that keep the Internet running. You'll develop software that enables members to manage Internet number resources and build applications that support internal teams, contributing to the operation and stability of the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Be involved in defining pragmatic and maintainable technical solutions for challenging problems.
• Develop new features across both back-end and front-end, with a strong focus on Typescript and React.
• Demonstrate solid expertise in Java to support backend systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and high-performance implementations.
• Maintain and extend existing services.
• Write, test, and deploy code.
• Work with DevOps engineers to maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software.

Requirements

• At minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or in a related engineering field) OR a minimum of 4 years of professional work experience in software engineering.
• Experience with JVM.
• Experience working on the full stack, including infrastructure, back-end and front-end.
• A pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• Strong communication and team-player skills.
• Eagerness to learn and share knowledge.
• Fluency in English.
• Comfortable with UNIX-like OSes.
• Experience with Angular and Kotlin.
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud solutions like AWS.
• Must be living in the Netherlands.
