About the Role

This senior operational leadership role is responsible for optimizing Placement operations for Marsh's Pacific business, acting as the critical interface between onshore Pacific teams and the Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India. The role focuses on driving digitization, process improvements, enhancing operational efficiency, customer experience, and team effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Implement the Placement 3-year strategy aligned to global direction and Pacific business goals.
Manage a team of Placement professionals, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Support professional development and capability uplift within the team.
Define and deliver operational service metrics, reporting performance to senior leadership.
Build improvement plans to address performance gaps and enhance outcomes.
Partner with Legal, Compliance, and operational stakeholders to maintain robust governance frameworks.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Oversee placement operational risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Leadership experience within insurance broking or a related financial services environment.
Exposure to placement operations (broking or underwriting environments) is ideal.
Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, delegation, motivation, and performance uplift.
Experience working effectively with geographically distributed teams, including offshore/shared service partners.
Ability to navigate time zone differences.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to influence at all levels.
Sound understanding of operating in a regulated environment.
Knowledge of risk management and compliance.
