About the Role

We are looking for an employee for the field of transformer substations and low-voltage systems for the subway within the Maintenance Measures and Automation Preparation team. The classification in TV-N Berlin will be based on professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement legal IT security requirements (KRITIS) for UPS systems, transformer substations, and low-voltage systems of the subway and ensure secure operation of critical infrastructure.
• Analyze system types of different construction years (1998-2025), assess risks, and prioritize measures considering safety, economic efficiency, and time and cost.
• Plan, control, and further develop IT services and IT security projects, as well as system integration into critical systems.
• Collaborate closely with IT security planners and specialist departments to ensure the implementation of all KRITIS requirements according to legal regulations, standards, and internal guidelines.
• Contribute expertise to modernizations and new projects to consider security requirements early and secure the infrastructure long-term.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Automation Engineering or equivalent skills and knowledge based on several years of professional experience.
• Fluent German language skills (minimum language level C1) and good English language skills.
• Fitness examination according to BOStrab and a health check for VDU workplaces are part of the hiring process.

Skills

• Knowledge of data protection and security regulations, especially BDSG, EU-GDPR, IT Security Law.
• Basic knowledge of project management and PLC technology / visualization technology (PLC Siemens S7 / WinCC / Profinet) or the willingness to quickly familiarize yourself.
• Ability to grasp complex contexts without losing sight of the details.
• Strong communication and open-minded personalities.
