About the Role
As a working student in Markets / Algo Trading, you will support the analysis of market data, contribute to the development of trading tools and algorithms, and observe market movements. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in energy trading, risk management, and forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Support the analysis of market data (e.g., prices, bid/ask, volume) and identify patterns and trends for trading strategies.
- Contribute to the development and further development of tools and algorithms in the trading environment (Python, Databricks).
- Validate, analyze, and ensure the quality of data and support backtesting of models.
- Support daily business operations, e.g., by preparing meetings, compiling analyses, and collaborating closely with analysts.
- Continuously monitor market movements and work on exciting projects related to energy trading, risk, and forecasts.
Requirements
- Enrolled student in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., computer science, engineering, mathematics, economics with a quantitative focus).
- Very good knowledge of Python and a strong interest in data analysis and modeling.
- Experience with version control (e.g., GitHub or Azure DevOps).
- Strong analytical thinking skills and a structured, careful approach to tasks.
- Interest in the energy industry and trading.
- Independent, reliable, and detail-oriented work ethic.
- Fluent German language skills in speaking and writing.
