About the Role
The Teradyne Memory Field Applications team is seeking a motivated Field Application Engineer to develop innovative application solutions, working both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and deploy test solutions for Digital, Mix-Signal, and RF semiconductor devices.
- Develop test program software, often in a collaborative environment.
- Review load board/probe card schematics design and layout for test solutions.
- Analyze problems and recommend solutions on the Teradyne ATE platform to optimize customer throughput.
- Collaborate with test engineering customers to understand and improve test processes.
- Make recommendations to improve the quality of test coverage.
- Release test solutions to production, including correlation and gauge R&R, involving production handler and prober equipment.
- Discover customer requirements, focusing on conceptual design of hardware, software, and test cell integration, electrical and mechanical H/W schematics, and PCB & H/W design inputs for interface hardware.
- Develop new techniques and designs for characterizing and testing semiconductor devices.
- Demonstrate tester capability for customer evaluations.
- Assist customers with tester operation and capability.
- Provide training, technical exchanges, and technical papers.
- Develop strong customer relations at a technical level to understand customer needs and direction.
- Gain a general understanding of ATE industry trends and competitive products.
Requirements
- Relevant industry experience in semiconductor test engineering or related fields is preferred.
- Test/Product engineering experience in analog, digital, mixed signal, and RF testing and test development is preferred.
- Prior programming experience on Teradyne or other semiconductor ATE platforms is preferred.
- Knowledge of Visual Basic, Windows NT, C, C++ programming, and UNIX and/or Windows.
- Knowledge of handler and prober interface experience is a plus.
