About the Role

This role is responsible for regional and site planning within the supply chain, ensuring continuous supply of products, managing supply risks, and optimizing inventory. The position involves acting as a liaison between global planning and market supply chains, participating in critical meetings, and supporting new product introductions and discontinuations. The role also includes developing optimal supply plans for specific SKUs, managing material projections, and ensuring product availability while optimizing costs.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary liaison between Global Planning and the Market Supply Chain for launched products.
Coordinate responses to supply challenges and ensure product plans align with forecasting expectations.
Work with the market on supply requirements and resolve regional supply constraints and delays.
Provide regional support for New Product Introductions, product transfers/divestments, and discontinuations.
Support in reporting, analysis, and root causing of supply and service KPIs.
Check and review supply planning parameters in the ERP system.
Escalate unresolved supply planning issues.
Perform assessments in the Change Control Process to minimize risks from proposed changes.
Identify and register supply risks derived from quality.
Conduct root cause analysis with support from CQA members to prevent deviations.
Provide supply-related information at LIC/PIRCs to aid decision making.
Develop an optimal, achievable supply plan for a SKU subset aligned to manufacturing resources.
Validate capacity with Site teams, including quality, engineering, and production scheduling.
Translate the 24-month supply plan into a projection for critical APIs, raw materials, and components.
Ensure product availability at the point of sale within inventory and service policies.
Maintain accurate supply planning parameters in the ERP system.
Adjust the supply plan to optimize multiple change processes.
Review potential service impacts based on agreed tier segmentation and take appropriate action.
Escalate constraints leading to service impact according to the SCIM process.
Provide input for the Supply Review Meeting (SRM).
Execute and support inventory optimization activities with Global Planning.
Manage stock at risk for the SKU subset, including production materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
Ensure E2E cost optimization through appropriate use of transport methods.
Demonstrate proficiency in supply chain planning functional use and data management in SAP APO and ECC.
Escalate any unresolved issues to the Regional Supply Chain Lead and Global Supply Chain Planning team.
Act as a delegate or deputy for the Regional Supply Chain Lead where required.

Regional understanding – experience of working with commercial sales and marketing teams particularly in a pharma or other highly regulated environment would be advantageous.
Experience of SAP or similar system.
Business acumen.
University graduate or relevant practical experience.
English: Business level / Japanese: Native level.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.
Preferably fluency in one or more additional languages appropriate to the Cluster/Region covered by the Supply Planning team (e.g., French, Spanish, Arabic).
Strong planning ability & able to work on own initiative.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead and work across cross-functional teams.
Highly numerate and good knowledge of supply chain systems and processes.
Knowledge of SAP APO (Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning) is an advantage.
Proactively seeks opportunities to increase value by raising standards & championing best practices.
Experience of implementing supply chain related system such as SAP, OMP, etc.
Supply Chain Professional qualifications (CSCP, CPIM, etc.) are advantage.
