About the Role

Amex GBT is seeking an experienced Zoom Engineer to join their global collaboration engineering team. This role is crucial for maintaining and advancing the company's Zoom environment, ensuring seamless connectivity and security for colleagues worldwide. It involves designing, deploying, and optimizing Zoom across various dimensions like Meetings, Phone, Rooms, Webinars, and Contact Centre, working closely with IT, security, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day administration, configuration, and health of the Zoom environment, including Meetings, Phone, Rooms, Webinars, and Contact Centre.
• Lead the design and implementation of Zoom platform upgrades, migrations, and new feature rollouts.
• Build and maintain integrations between Zoom and enterprise systems including Microsoft 365, SSO/IdP providers, CRM platforms, and collaboration tools.
• Develop automation and scripting solutions using the Zoom API to streamline provisioning, reporting, and user lifecycle management.
• Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot escalated issues, and drive root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Partner with InfoSec and compliance teams to enforce security policies, access controls, and data governance within Zoom.
• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation: architecture diagrams, runbooks, and configuration standards.
• Support end-user enablement by working with HR and training teams to build adoption and best-practice guidance.
• Stay current with Zoom’s product roadmap and advise the business on emerging capabilities and how to put them to work.

Requirements

• 5+ years of dedicated Zoom administration and engineering experience in an enterprise environment.
• 10+ years of overall technology experience, spanning network, unified communications, cloud platforms, or enterprise IT.
• Hands-on expertise across the full Zoom portfolio: Meetings, Phone, Rooms, Webinars, and Events.
• Proven ability to build and maintain Zoom API integrations and automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar.
• Experience integrating Zoom with identity providers (Okta, Azure AD, or equivalent) and enterprise directories.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: SIP, WebRTC, QoS, firewalls, and DNS as they relate to video and voice traffic.
• Demonstrated experience managing Zoom security configurations, including E2EE, data residency, and compliance archiving.
