About the Role

Play a critical role in delivering commodities product capability across Westpac Institutional Bank's credit risk technology landscape. Enhance platforms that measure, monitor, and control counterparty credit risk in a complex institutional banking environment. Solve complex business and technology challenges, provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and implementation of new product capabilities.
• Assess impacts across the broader application landscape.
• Ensure commodities exposures are accurately captured and managed.
• Provide technical leadership through design and delivery activities.
• Mentor team members.
• Drive continuous improvement across the credit risk platform estate.
• Leverage automation and AI-assisted analysis to improve delivery outcomes and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Strong experience within credit risk technology, traded risk technology, or financial markets technology in a regulated banking environment.
• Experience working with trading or risk platforms such as Murex, Calypso, ACR, RTCE, or similar systems.
• Understanding of counterparty credit risk concepts including exposure measurement, credit limits, PD/LGD/EAD, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to analyze complex technology landscapes, perform impact assessments, and solve end-to-end business and technical problems.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across business, risk, and technology functions.
