About the Role
Lead Sonos' Social, Influencer and Community function, transforming creator relationships, community advocacy, and owned social execution into a measurable growth engine for the brand. This role sits within the Communications team and manages a team responsible for owned social execution and community management across Sonos' channels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own the annual vision for influencer, community, and owned social workstreams, including global strategies, program frameworks, and playbooks.
- Define and build the global influencer program, including strategy, frameworks, playbooks, and templates for regional execution.
- Define and own the global community strategy, creating frameworks for regional activation and identifying niche communities for brand partnerships.
- Lead and execute Sonos' owned social presence, from strategy to day-to-day output, collaborating with Brand Strategy, Brand Marketing, Brand Creative, and regional teams.
- Partner closely with Brand Creative, Brand Marketing, PR, Commercial Marketing, and CX to integrate social, influencer, and community efforts into broader campaigns and product launches.
- Establish the measurement philosophy and infrastructure connecting influencer, advocate, and community activity to business outcomes, and report regularly against it.
- Lead, coach, and develop the team executing owned social and community management, setting clear objectives.
- Manage agency relationships, social media management platforms, and the function’s budget.
- Monitor trends in social, creator culture, and the audio/music/lifestyle space to identify opportunities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience across social media, influencer/creator marketing, or community management.
- Proven experience building influencer programs across multiple tiers and categories with measurable ROI.
- Experience owning deal flow and negotiation for creator and influencer partnerships.
- Strong background in owned social strategy for consumer brands.
- Deep understanding of attribution, social, and product analytics, with a track record of building scalable measurement frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop direct reports.
- Strong writing and editing skills across social formats, including creative briefs, platform strategies, and content frameworks.
- Experience designing frameworks for global social programs with regional and cultural adaptation.
- Familiarity with social media management platforms and influencer management tools.
- Comfortable contributing at all levels on a lean team with high standards.
- Familiarity with AI tools and how to apply them in a modern social and influencer workflow.
- Willing to travel when required.
- Must live within commuting distance of New York.
- Authorized to work for any US employer, both now and in the future.
