About the Role
The Staff Nurse in the Cardiac Pulmonary Care Unit 6B provides professional nursing care to patients of all ages and their families, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate, and document care while upholding institutional standards.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, intervene, evaluate, and document patient care using the nursing process
- Formulate nursing diagnoses for health problems
- Provide patient teaching and counseling
- Delegate appropriate tasks to assistive nursing personnel
- Maintain professional practice according to hospital standards, mission, and goals
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university (highly preferred)
- One year of critical care or acute care experience (highly preferred)
