About the Role
This Talent Pool is for future Ongoing or Temporary Legal Officer roles within the NSW Police Force, anticipated over the next 18 months. Successful applicants will provide high-quality legal services in civil matters, including administrative law, privacy, government finance, commercial work, real property, intellectual property, and media law. Opportunities for temporary employment are expected in the immediate term.
Responsibilities
- Provision of high quality, timely, ethical and professional legal services in relation to civil matters involving the NSWPF.
- Administrative law litigation and advice (particularly in the regulatory and licensing context).
- Advice on privacy and open government.
- Advice on government finance and procurement.
- General commercial work.
- Real property matters.
- Intellectual property matters.
- Media law matters.
Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen to be eligible for ongoing roles.
- Successful candidate will be required to undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check.
- Successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.
