About the Role

Join one of the world's leading real estate investment platforms, contributing to the management of a multi-billion-dollar global portfolio. This role will help manage a scalable portfolio across sectors, regions, and the capital stack, generating alpha through GIC's in-house investment and asset management capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assets and portfolios across multiple real estate sectors, including direct traditional sectors and alternatives.
  • Act as the key interface between investors and the management of operating entities, implementing effective governance frameworks and exerting board-level influence.
  • Develop and monitor business plans covering revenue and cost drivers, leasing, development, capex, ESG, and financing, monitoring execution against agreed timelines and targets.
  • Drive value-creation initiatives across the portfolio in partnership with investors, partners, and service providers.
  • Drive divestment processes with a systematic roadmap for assets identified for capital recycling.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to meet periodic internal reporting requirements.
  • Monitor compliance and governance standards across portfolio companies and support the implementation of corporate actions.
  • Implement and uphold relevant policies and processes across the portfolio.
  • Identify and analyze industry trends and recommend asset management strategies and opportunities to JV partners and external managers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 10-15 years of relevant asset management experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the Australia real estate market.
  • Experience in the self-storage sector is a plus.
  • A track record in private equity, working hands-on with management to unlock and maximise company value, would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong operational and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate high-level investment thesis into concrete operational KPIs and business plan execution.
  • Proactive, excellent ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills are a must.
  • Good team player with the ability to be self-directed and work independently.
