About the Role
LEAP is seeking applicants for our Fall Centralized General Applicant Pool for Afterschool Programs. Applications are reviewed by Program Directors, Coordinators, and hiring teams across 18 school-based afterschool sites in Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Manhattan. To be considered, applicants must complete a location and role questionnaire.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead culturally responsive, art-focused workshops that integrate arts and academic learning to spark youth creativity and self-expression (Teaching Artist).
- Design and facilitate hands-on, specialized clubs (e.g., STEM, chess, culinary arts, fashion, athletics) that fuse arts with academic learning (Activity Specialist).
- Model positive behavior, ensure participant safety, and support daily program operations by helping to facilitate academically aligned arts, sports, or STEM instruction (Group Leader).
