About the Role

As a Software Engineer Senior within PNC's Retail Tech Core Debit Product organization, you will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and systems. This role provides technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, collaborates with cross-functional teams to define requirements and solutions, and ensures the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and secure products. You will mentor junior developers, drive best practices in coding and architecture, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and contribute to strategic technology decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, maintainable software solutions.
  • Lead technical design reviews and architecture discussions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders.
  • Write, review, and optimize high-quality code.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
  • Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
  • Writes code, tests and deploys software.
  • Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
  • Maintains and debugs software.

Requirements

  • Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
