About the Role

Marc Jacobs International seeks a Senior Allocation Planner to manage the replenishment of Retail Stores and execute initial seasonal allocations. This role is crucial for managing inventory across our Retail Network and for Wholesale partners.

Responsibilities

  • Manage store allocation and replenishment from DC to stores daily.
  • Determine initial allocation and replenishment quantities to maintain necessary inventory levels and maximize service levels for stores.
  • Propose inventory threshold adjustments to management weekly and monthly.
  • Generate region-specific inventory and sales reports for global decision-making.
  • Evaluate daily sales and react to trends to optimize inventory for maximum sales, service level, and sell-through.
  • Collaborate with the Buying team to understand priorities and market-specific needs.
  • Report on product in-dc dates and factory delays before season launch to ensure timely product availability.
  • Execute inventory allocation and release for Wholesale and Retail.
  • Analyze daily allocations against incoming supply to strategically release pick tickets and optimize warehouse workflow.
  • Review and address orders that cannot be released due to credit issues, order holds, or short ship windows.
  • Provide sales operations teams with necessary information for weekly shipping forecasts.
  • Execute all retail order entry and maintenance.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a planning role.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, with a minimum of 50% time dedicated to allocation.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail math.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Organized and able to multi-task.
