About the Role

This course introduces the use and impact of genetic model systems and organisms in exploring aspects of human reproduction, development, aging and disease. It highlights ethical issues in animal research, genetic manipulation, and disease modeling, and introduces bioinformatics concepts and methods for biological data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching three weekly two-hour classes on topics introducing computational methods and machine learning to undergraduate students.
  • Creating examination assignments and examination questions covering the material presented to students.
  • Reviewing a debate among students.

Requirements

  • PhD student in computer science or in a health science discipline with a strong background in machine learning and its application in biomedical research.
  • Excellent programming skills in Python are required.
