About the Role

Caring Approach is seeking a compassionate and reliable Greek Speaking Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients in their homes and community across Sydney. This casual role supports independence, dignity, and wellbeing while fostering meaningful relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support in clients' homes.
  • Assist with showering, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Complete domestic assistance including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Assist with medication prompting and support.
  • Support clients with daily living activities and community participation.
  • Transport clients to medical appointments, shopping, and social outings.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Maintain accurate progress notes and required documentation.
  • Support clients to achieve their individual goals and maximise independence.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate fluently in Greek and English.
  • Experience in disability support, aged care, or community services (preferred).
  • Certificate III or higher in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services, or willingness to obtain within 12 months.
  • Minimum six months' experience providing personal care (preferred).
  • Understanding of person-centred care practices.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • Driver's Licence and own fully insured vehicle (preferred).
  • Smartphone capable of installing workplace applications.
  • Appropriate Australian working rights.
  • Completion of the NDIS New Worker Orientation Module, or willingness to complete during induction.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently and within a team.
  • Experience supporting elderly Greek-speaking participants (desirable).
  • Experience supporting clients living with dementia or complex care needs (desirable).
  • Medication administration competency (desirable).
  • Strong understanding of culturally sensitive and inclusive care practices (desirable).
