About the Role
Working within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, you will report to the FP&A Manager, supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, analysis, and financial systems administration across the Office. You will provide financial insights and advice to managers and executives to support informed decision-making and effective financial management, while working collaboratively with key stakeholders to maintain reporting tools, improve processes, and deliver financial initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, budget monitoring and overall financial management across the Office.
- Prepare and distribute monthly management, financial and performance reports, including cost and variance analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial models, reporting tools and data-driven solutions to support analysis and decision-making.
- Partner with stakeholders to provide financial advice and support on budgeting, forecasting, business planning, savings initiatives and resource utilisation.
- Coordinate and support annual budget preparation, including complex portfolios and business units.
- Contribute to project accounting, project reporting and ad hoc financial analysis to support organisational priorities.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting and full membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Certified Practising Accountants of Australia or equivalent.
- Sound skills in the management, manipulation, interrogation and presentation of financial and related data to support financial analysis, forecasting and reporting.
- Accounting experience including costing, project accounting, budget preparation, business partnering, monthly management reporting and variance / ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Demonstrable knowledge of database principles and proven experience in utilising/managing financial and operational data and reporting information.
