About the Role
You will play a key role in the Application Engineering DevOps team, modernizing the HR ecosystem through strategic and secure use of cloud infrastructure and services. This role is part of one of Australia’s largest digital transformations, establishing an Engineering function within HR and bringing an engineering culture and passion for DevSecOps and GitOps within the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Build Workday integration and Workday core capabilities to our HR Business.
- Work closely with HR Stakeholders to lead as an owner to solve customer problems.
- Resolve Workday integrations and Extend defects as per CBA Incident Process in line with SLAs.
- Maintain CI/CD code.
- Support Execution – delivery of squad backlog that requires Workday technology (Integrations and Extend).
- Execution – delivery of squad backlog as per Aptitude Technical Delivery Lead’s guidance.
- Design, Build & Test as per HR backlog requirements.
- Support test cycles based on the risk and phase of the testing – system testing, system integration testing, end to end testing, performance testing, NFT and regression testing.
- Collaborate closely within your scrum team to drive testability in solution design and promote best test engineering practices in the development process.
- Ensure the CBA quality standards are applied to test deliverables to ensure compliance and auditability.
- Connect with CBA Cloud communities such as OneCloud, PCCS, Engineering Group.
- Facilitate change management process and represent in Pre-CAB.
- Coordinate with deployment team and facilitate STG and production deployment.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager/scrum master that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant internal Group policies and external regulatory requirements.

Requirements
- Have experience with Workday Extend and Workday Integrations.
- Have sound technical understanding of software development & testing practices and life cycle.
- Have sound technical understanding of production defect management.
- Have the ability to analyse complex technical requirements, review architecture documents and solution design, and determine appropriate test approach and best engineering practices based on technical design.
- Can work with multi-location teams.
