About the Role
This role serves as a strategic finance business partner to the Service General Manager, supporting one of the largest and most profitable business segments in Japan. The position provides leadership across P&L management, FP&A, controllership, and operating finance activities while driving sustainable commercial growth and operational excellence. Working closely with regional finance leaders, the role owns key operating metrics and financial performance, establishes performance benchmarks, and delivers actionable insights that support business growth and operational outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Act as a strong finance business partner to lead Japan business sustainable growth and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Partner with GMs and business directors to lead Japan service business sustainable growth and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Analyze operating metrics and financial results, establish benchmarks, and drive operational outcomes for the Japan business.
- Provide insights to business leaders through financial planning, analysis, and reporting to local business partners and global stakeholders with clear communication.
- Manage the business cycle, including 3-year plans, budgets, and forecasts at each organizational level.
- Define KPIs to measure performance across all organizational areas.
- Analyze performance and propose action plans to improve profitability and cash generation, including corrective actions as needed.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of finance and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy as a finance partner.
- Drive and resolve complex situations and problems, including those involving external customers, by demonstrating leadership.
- Prioritize effectively for resource allocation.
Requirements
- Requires advanced experience in Finance & FP&A Operations.
- Minimum 7-10 years of finance experience and leadership experience.
- Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions, and regions.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Ability to deliver messages effectively verbally and in writing in both English and Japanese.
