About the Role

Rippling is seeking a Technical Storyteller to articulate the technical innovations in AI being developed by our product and engineering teams. This role blends writing, product strategy, technical storytelling, and executive communications, requiring close collaboration with product and engineering leaders to translate complex technical achievements into compelling content for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Find and develop compelling external content from Rippling's product and engineering teams, particularly in AI.
• Collaborate with engineers, product leads, and product research to understand novel and technically impressive work.
• Create blog posts, LinkedIn posts, X posts, technical explainers, launch content, and executive/company communications in the voice of senior leaders.
• Partner with Product Marketing to establish a cohesive external narrative for ambitious product and engineering initiatives.
• Proactively build and manage an editorial pipeline, identifying story ideas, shaping angles, and recommending distribution channels.
• Assist CPO and other leaders in preparing for podcasts, speaking engagements, and interviews.
• Ensure content accuracy, precision, and credibility by collaborating with engineers and technical leaders.

Requirements

• Possess sufficient technical sophistication to identify and question the significance of topics like evals, agent harnesses, field clustering, model architecture, or infrastructure choices.
• Demonstrate exceptional writing skills to clarify complex technical concepts without oversimplification.
• Communicate credibly with engineers and technical leaders, even without an engineering background.
• Exhibit strong editorial judgment to discern noteworthy topics, external resonance, and the core story within details.
• Operate independently across engineering, product, Product Marketing, and executive teams, proactively seeking content opportunities.
• Maintain high precision in language and accurately represent technical work publicly.
• Ideally possess experience in technical journalism, developer or AI content, product marketing for technical products, or writing for technical executives.
