About the Role
This role focuses on driving the digital transformation of the German healthcare industry by providing technical support and medical informatics expertise. You will manage clinical imaging data workflows, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure the reliability of cloud-based medical software solutions for hospitals and radiology practices.
Responsibilities
- Field Tier 1 support inquiries from IT leads and PACS administrators.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical faults across PACS, archive, and cloud environments.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and monitor service reliability.
- Refine internal support workflows to improve resolution speed and service performance.
- Oversee archiving system operations in data centers.
- Manage technical escalations for strategic accounts.
- Maintain and structure internal knowledge bases and technical documentation.
- Provide functional and administrative management for a distributed support team (Team Lead option).
- Oversee daily workloads and manage team capacity (Team Lead option).
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical IT support or application management.
- Formal IT qualification, degree in (Medical) Informatics, or equivalent experience.
- Solid grounding in clinical IT environments (PACS).
- Practical familiarity with DICOM, HL7, and IHE standards.
- Hands-on experience administering Windows Server environments.
- Experience working with SQL database platforms.
- Fluent German (C1 level) and solid English (B2 level) proficiency.
- Strong service orientation and communication skills.
- Prior leadership experience for the Team Lead track.
- Proven management skill and process coordination for the Team Lead track.
