About the Role
Modern Treatise provides in-depth reporting and commentary covering international developments and domestic political affairs. This role will cover international content focused on the China region as their regular beat.
Responsibilities
- Write a weekly column covering social, economic, and political topics related to nations and territories in Australasia, Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia from their perspective.
- Provide special region-related coverage.
Requirements
- Adept at understanding the geopolitics of the nations and territories in Australasia, Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia.
- Adept at understanding the nuances of domestic/national politics in nations and territories in Australasia, Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia.
- Able to look at geopolitical subject matters from multiple perspectives.
- Adept at relying on fact-based evidence rather than political or activist wish-thinking.
- Adept at understanding the ever-shifting state of the economy or economies of nations and territories in Australasia, Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia.
- Must submit a cover letter, resume stating experience, and three published clips.
