About the Role

Care Coordinators serve as the primary point of contact for patients, setting the tone for the clinical experience through professional and organized communication. This fast-paced role requires multitasking, ownership, and the ability to support both patients and the clinical team.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming and professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
  • Manage front desk operations including check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and phone inquiries.
  • Process incoming referrals by gathering information, updating patient records, and guiding patients through next steps.
  • Maintain patient flow by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, and filling cancellations.
  • Collect copays and patient balances accurately while performing basic payment tracking.
  • Ensure patient privacy and compliance with HIPAA standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer-facing or patient-facing role.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with high attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to handle difficult callers professionally.
  • Basic computer proficiency including email, spreadsheets, and scheduling software.
