About the Role

Care Coordinators serve as the primary point of contact for patients, setting the tone for the clinic experience through professional, organized, and warm interactions. This fast-paced role requires multitasking, ownership, and the ability to support both patients and the clinical team effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
  • Manage front desk operations including check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and phone calls.
  • Review, schedule, and follow up on incoming referrals.
  • Maintain patient flow by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, and filling cancellations.
  • Collect copays and patient payments accurately.
  • Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing or patient-facing role.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining organized.
  • Strong communication skills, including handling difficult callers with patience.
  • Basic computer proficiency including email and spreadsheets.
