About the Role
Care Coordinators serve as the primary point of contact for patients, setting the tone for the clinical experience through professional, organized, and warm interactions. This fast-paced role requires multitasking, ownership, and the ability to support both patients and the clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
- Manage front desk operations including check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and phone communications.
- Review, schedule, and follow up on incoming referrals.
- Maintain patient flow by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, and filling cancellations.
- Collect copays and balances accurately while performing basic payment tracking.
- Uphold HIPAA standards and protect patient privacy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing or patient-facing role.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle difficult callers professionally.
- Basic computer proficiency including email, spreadsheets, and scheduling software.
