The Local Public Services Team is committed to supporting customers to maximize their investments, improve decisions, and enhance citizen services through digitalization. The Account Executive plays a crucial role in building long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers, inspiring them to embrace technology and the age of Generative AI. This role will lead the South West business, orchestrating virtual teams and closing opportunities to achieve transformative business outcomes across public and private sector entities.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer's business needs, priorities, and strategies to deliver new insights and demonstrate long-term differentiated value.
  • Proactively elevate relationships across multiple levels of the customer's organization to secure alignment and execution.
  • Consider the ‘bigger picture’ for customers, absorbing information and applying conceptual and creative problem-solving.
  • Define the strategic vision and lead transformation with the customer’s CxO level Technology, Digital, and Business Decision Makers.
  • Challenge conventional thinking and lead with a focus on achieving customer success.
  • Navigate Microsoft, work across functions and the ecosystem to maximize value for the customer.
  • Be resourceful in ensuring customers receive full organizational support from exec sponsors to product experts and commercial leaders.
  • Achieve results by understanding digital transformation drivers and customer priorities.
  • Identify new opportunities and help customers accelerate their move to the digital age.
  • Deliver consistent, repeatable achievement of revenue and consumption targets.
  • Continuously build industry and technical knowledge to bring innovative solutions, benchmarks, and references to C-level executives.
  • Drive greater efficiencies, optimization, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical, and impactful manner.
  • Create an inclusive culture within your team that embraces diversity and reflects Microsoft's mission.
  • Establish trust-based relationships and gain insights through collaboration and communication.

Requirements

  • Experience in selling Cloud services with a proven track record of success.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop new business, and manage territory-level opportunities.
  • Experience engaging with mid-to-senior level executives and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively and inclusively with local and remote teams and partners.
  • Technical acumen to engage in solution conversations and drive value-based outcomes.
