About the Role

As a Produce Manager, you will lead the produce department, ensuring high-quality merchandising, inventory management, and an extraordinary customer service experience. You will coach and develop team members while maintaining a fast-paced, friendly environment focused on healthy choices.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales and operations of the Produce Department
• Oversee quality control, merchandising, and department cleanliness
• Manage inventory levels
• Coach, evaluate, and develop team members through performance reviews
• Recruit, hire, and make promotion or transfer decisions
• Address team member concerns and document corrective actions
• Create and adjust staff schedules to ensure productivity
• Communicate company standards, policies, and product knowledge
• Serve as a Key Carrier or Manager on Duty as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age
• 1-3 years of grocery retail experience with management experience in produce
• Basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures
• Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation
• Adherence to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
• Ability to lift, stack, and maneuver up to 50 lbs
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and maneuver six-wheel carts
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles per shift
• Obtain and maintain a Food Handlers permit
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, and financial goals
