About the Role

The Specialized Digital System Architect is a technical solution sales position focused on promoting On-Premises Power Monitoring software (EPMS, SAAS) and Cloud Based Analytics As a Service. This role also promotes metering, power quality solutions, relays, and instrumentation for electrical power systems. The architect will understand customer needs, build technical value propositions, and support sales efforts within the Technical Competency Center (TCC) for the Digital BU.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the sales of On-Premises Power Monitoring software (EPMS, SAAS) and Cloud Based Analytics As a Service.
  • Promote metering, power quality solutions, relays, and instrumentation for electrical power systems.
  • Understand customer needs and build in-depth, specialized technical value propositions.
  • Support the One Services Selling Center, other BUs, external partners, and distributors with deep technical Digital Services sales support.
  • Focus on demand generation if needed.
  • Grow business with brownfield customers with existing Schneider Electric installed base solutions.
  • Evaluate a customer’s existing electrical distribution infrastructure and promote upgrades and expansions.
  • Create IoT enabled equipment, install power quality improvement solutions, and capture new service plans.
  • Utilize EcoStruxure Advisory Services and cultivate customer adoption through basic training and enablement activities.
  • Work with other sales specialists within Schneider Electric to create and capture sales targets.
  • Support the role with an inside sales representative (ISR) and Digital Support Architect.
  • Develop quotes and drawings as required for complex solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with electrical SCADA Software and Power Monitoring Software.
  • Strong experience with Electrical Power Meters.
  • High proficiency in electric distribution equipment such as MV/LV circuit breakers and equipment, transformers or Variable Speed Drives.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of communications protocols such as MobBus RTU or TCP/IP, IEC61850, Ethernet IP, Zigbee, MQTT, ect.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements.
  • Ability to work and contribute as an effective team player in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to think out of the box for creative IoT customer solutions to increase value to the customer.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, Visio, Teams, Human Machine Interfaces and programmable controllers/IED’s.
  • Ability to interpret contract documents and ability to clearly understand specifications and project financials.
  • Developed interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers of various technical abilities, including experience working with contractors, consultants, and sales staff as required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to various customer sites in One Services West region.
  • Consulting Sales Experience.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.

  • $133,600 - $200,400 per year including commission
