About the Role
This strategic leadership role focuses on elevating and driving audience to MSN and MAI content through new top-of-funnel strategies. The position cultivates new audiences via social-first content, newsletter distribution, SEO, and innovative growth tactics. It requires strong editorial judgment, creative thinking, deep knowledge of social media trends and engagement data, and a passion for audience scaling.
Responsibilities
- Establish and evolve the creative direction for MSN socials, focusing on editorial vision, creative strategy, and content formats that drive audience growth.
- Drive audience engagement and referrals to MSN content on legacy social platforms.
- Responsible for driving overall brand awareness for MAI editorial products.
- Drive social engagement and growth of MSN editorial through social-first storytelling and formats.
- Develop and execute a robust newsletter strategy to acquire new audience to MSN content.
- Develop a creator strategy that aligns with business and editorial objectives.
- Cross-collaborate with the VP of Content and Director of Content on key editorial initiatives to drive audience during signature editorial events.
- Cross-collaborate with key Microsoft marketing and social teams to promote MAI content innovations.
- Think creatively and drive execution of audience growth strategies.
- Analyze data, performance, and audience growth across platforms, reporting findings to key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing, event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience OR equivalent experience.
- Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 2+ years integrated marketing, event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years integrated marketing, event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
- Experience building creative vision and editorial standards for social distribution.
- Proven excellence in editing, critical thinking, and adhering to editorial standards and guidelines.
- Proven experience scaling and growing audiences on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Track record of leading social teams and creative social content at a high volume in a newsroom environment.
- Ability to create social content, including editing videos, creating graphics, and publishing across social platforms.
- Proven experience in launching and scaling newsletter audiences.
- Proven experience working in SEO optimization.
- Experience with GenAI content.

- USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area)
