About the Role

Concentrix Catalyst is seeking a Senior Experience Designer to transform complex challenges into user-friendly and effective experiences. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities from discovery and strategy to UI design and delivery, acting as both a senior designer and a consultant to clients. You will be instrumental in framing problems, making trade-offs, and linking design decisions to business outcomes, taking ownership from concept to completion. Additionally, you will contribute to the growth of the design practice through mentorship and upholding high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead experience design work from discovery through to detailed design and delivery.
  • Frame complex customer, business and technical problems clearly.
  • Help clients identify the right problem to solve and the right level of design effort.
  • Plan and support research, interviews, usability testing and validation.
  • Turn evidence, data and business needs into journeys, flows, concepts, prototypes and detailed designs.
  • Design accessible experiences across responsive web, mobile and other digital channels.
  • Move confidently between strategy, interaction design, information architecture and visual design.
  • Use research, analytics and customer feedback to guide decisions.
  • Present work clearly and explain the reasoning behind key choices.
  • Facilitate workshops, design reviews and collaborative working sessions.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, content designers and stakeholders.
  • Make sound trade-offs across customer needs, business goals, technical limits, budgets and timelines.
  • Contribute to design systems, shared standards and reusable patterns.
  • Support other designers through critique, feedback and coaching.
  • Use AI tools as part of your day-to-day design process.
  • Contribute to proposals, client conversations and new opportunities.

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional experience in experience design, UX, product design, interaction design or a related field.
  • Experience delivering end-to-end design work in a consultancy, agency or complex product environment.
  • Strong human-centred design, interaction design and information architecture skills.
  • A sound foundation in visual design, including typography, layout, colour, hierarchy and responsive design.
  • Experience designing for responsive web, iOS and Android.
  • Strong Figma skills, including prototyping, components, libraries and design systems.
  • Experience planning or supporting user research and usability testing.
  • A working understanding of WCAG and accessible design.
  • Experience presenting work, influencing decisions and working with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and collaborative design sessions.
  • The ability to work closely with product, engineering, research, content and business teams.
  • A working understanding of HTML, CSS and front-end development constraints.
  • Experience using AI tools for design, research, content, analysis or prototyping.
  • The ability to write and refine prompts with clear context, constraints, examples and expected outcomes.
  • The ability to build repeatable AI-assisted workflows rather than relying on one-off prompts.
  • The judgement to review AI outputs for quality, accuracy, bias, privacy and suitability.
  • A clear understanding of responsible AI use, including privacy, security and intellectual property.
  • Evidence of ongoing learning and experimentation with new tools and methods.
  • Native mobile design experience.
  • Service design or journey mapping experience.
  • Experience designing conversational or AI-supported experiences.
  • Experience using analytics or behavioural data to guide design work.
  • Experience mentoring other designers.
  • Experience contributing to proposals, pitches or client growth.
  • A strong portfolio that explains the problem, your role, your process, your decisions and the outcome.
  • Ability to move between strategic thinking and detailed design work.
  • Takes responsibility for outcomes, not just design artefacts.
  • Understands how customer needs, business goals, technology and delivery constraints affect the work.
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity and helping others create clarity.
  • Can make progress without waiting for perfect information.
  • Communicates clearly and can explain design decisions without jargon.
  • Understands that seniority includes judgement, influence, ownership and support for others.
  • Values craft and quality, while working within real budgets and timelines.
  • Curious about new technology but does not use tools simply because they are new.
  • Treats AI as part of the design process, not as a replacement for thinking.
  • Questions outputs, tests assumptions and knows when to rely on evidence.
  • Seeks feedback, continues learning and shares what they know.
  • Can work independently, but does not work in isolation.
