About the Role

This role is crucial for launching and scaling a payment platform, ensuring reliable operations and excellent customer service. The individual will transform current processes into a scalable operating model, acting as the primary liaison between payment operations and the go-to-market strategy.

Responsibilities

• Manage payments operations.
• Define and manage the setup of new merchant accounts and payment partners within Stripe, including underwriting requirements, banking details, and go-live checks.
• Own the day-to-day health of the Stripe-based payment flow, including reconciliation, failed payments, disputes, receipts, and automatic confirmation emails.
• Oversee daily and monthly reconciliation between Stripe, Klir Connect, and utility/program records; investigate and resolve discrepancies, chargebacks, and failed or duplicate payments.
• Manage the practical steps of bringing a new utility or program onto Klir Connect, including data migration, configuration, and testing.
• Collaborate with CX to integrate Klir Connect payment questions into existing support channels and serve as the primary escalation point for payment-related inquiries.
• Act as the liaison between Klir Connect and Finance for convenience-fee reporting, payout timing, and recordkeeping.
• Document current processes into a repeatable onboarding playbook.
• Maintain organized and defensible transaction records, receipts, and communications, consistent with SOC 2 controls and integration security requirements.
• Identify customer friction points and opportunities for product improvement, providing prioritized feedback to Product/Engineering and assisting with testing.

Requirements

• Demonstrate the ability to bring order to ambiguous, detail-heavy work under real-time pressure.
• Ability to point to evidence of operational clarity, comfort with money and detail, judgment under ambiguity, cross-functional coordination, AI fluency, steady performance under early-stage conditions, and a bias for action.
