About the Role
DashMart is a convenience store initiative at DoorDash offering household essentials and local restaurant favorites. This interim leadership role involves guiding a team of 2-10 employees through daily operations, ensuring high-quality customer service, and maintaining a positive work environment. The position is for a three-month duration with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Lead Operations Associates by ensuring safety, productivity, and serving as the point of escalation for daily operations.
- Manage scheduling and attendance for the team.
- Provide real-time performance feedback to staff and collaborate with Site Managers.
- Receive vendor products and organize inventory.
- Prepare customer orders and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
- Maintain systems and menus to ensure smooth customer order delivery.
- Communicate with customers regarding order issues.
- Facilitate smooth Dasher pickups.
- Monitor supplier deliveries and manage maintenance schedules.
- Contribute ideas to improve operational quality and customer experience.
Requirements
- Proven track record in warehouse, retail, or restaurant environments.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move heavy products.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack and hand truck.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Flexibility to work any day of the week across all operating hours.
