About the Role
The candidate is responsible for planning, organizing, and presenting activities that contribute to the educational, social, and physical development of students. This role aims to enhance student self-worth and equip them with essential life skills. It requires considerable judgment, tact, patience, sensitivity, and flexibility to work with diverse student populations and learning styles, demanding creativity and adaptive thinking to align teaching objectives with student abilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction to students using various methods such as oral presentation, demonstration, and discussion.
- Plan lessons, including preparing learning objectives, designing assessments, and setting up labs.
- Facilitate learning by maintaining discipline, encouraging participation, and consulting with parents and staff.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain records of student progress.
- Perform duties related to the area of expertise, such as early childhood education or language instruction.
- Maintain contact with parents regarding student performance through conferences and progress reports.
- Engage in professional development through classes, conferences, and workshops.
- Perform administrative activities, including attending meetings and ordering supplies.
- Prepare lesson materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Monitor student behavior inside and outside the classroom.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Demonstrate professional, ethical, and responsible behavior.
- Articulate the district's mission and goals to the community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Teaching Certificate preferred.
- 2+ Years of experience preferred.
- Ability to apply knowledge of current education and instructional theories, methodologies, techniques, and principles.
- Knowledge of subject matter.
- Knowledge of state, local, and federal laws and regulations affecting student education.
- Strong understanding of social and emotional needs, development, and learning.
- Ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom culture.
- Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of media.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to organize and maintain records.
- Ability to manage time and resources effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Willingness to contribute to child development both inside and outside the classroom, potentially including work beyond regular school hours.
- Must present proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

About the Company
