About the Role
The Brand Manager, Entertainment will lead and manage the direction of entertainment brands to ensure global growth and viability. This role involves overseeing relationships with global licensees, driving financial performance, and executing brand strategies to maintain brand integrity and market presence.
Responsibilities
- Engage and inspire the organization around brand vision and strategies.
- Collaborate with internal partners to define brand vision, position, and architecture.
- Coordinate brand activity across business development, marketing, finance, and legal functions.
- Maintain brand integrity across product lines, advertising, and communications.
- Work with the Creative team on asset development, partner pitches, and support materials.
- Oversee financial reporting, including AR and royalty tracking.
- Lead seasonal and annual forecasting to support budget achievement.
- Consolidate business development tools for licensees.
- Partner with licensing licensees to understand business models and drive retail profitability.
- Act as a liaison between licensees, retailers, and internal stakeholders.
- Map out product and category strategies to sustain global brand growth.
- Build processes for internal communication and timely delivery of deliverables.
- Maintain relationships with talent stakeholders to support branded initiatives.
- Identify retail and product trends, new categories, and distribution opportunities.
- Assist in negotiating licensing agreements and participate in sales presentations.
- Identify NIL and endorsement opportunities to enhance brand awareness.
- Support global business development through new brand pitches and storytelling.
- Develop consumer target segments using trend data for growth planning.
- Analyze consumer trends to identify future product categories.
- Oversee licensing operations including product approval, SKU management, and archive administration.
- Manage legal operational support for contracts, renewals, customs, and trademark management.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in merchandising, business development, brand marketing, or licensing program management.
- Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal).
- Experience in talent management or brand building for talent.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or commensurate work experience.
- Proven experience in brand management with a background in merchandising, fashion licensing, and global brand strategy.
- Understanding of how product licensing deals are identified and negotiated.
- Experience managing licensing deals across various product categories.
- Strong research skills regarding trends in celebrity branding and product opportunities.
- Hands-on background with forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing royalty revenue data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently.
