About the Role

Lead the operations of Central New York's unique outdoor hospitality destinations, including a seasonal cottage resort, marinas, waterfront cabin rentals, and a hunting preserve. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, maximizing revenue, enhancing guest experience, and developing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operational aspects of The Cove including sales, reservations, housekeeping, food and beverage, grounds, recreation, retail and property maintenance.
  • Prepare annual budget and monitor financial performance throughout the year for The Cove, Marinas, Salmon Acres, and The Preserve.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability for The Cove, Marinas, Salmon Acres, and The Preserve.
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop a marketing plan to promote The Cove and Salmon Acres to potential guests.
  • Achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction by providing efficient and courteous service in all areas for The Cove, Marinas, and Salmon Acres.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to any guest complaints or problems for The Cove, Marinas, Salmon Acres, and The Preserve.
  • Work with Operations Manager to create team member training programs to ensure team members meet job responsibilities.
  • Fully responsible for the management, maintenance and safety of all boats, and recreational equipment at The Cove.
  • Ensure all team members and guests follow proper safety policies and protocols when utilizing recreational equipment.
  • Oversee all operational aspects of the Marinas including slip rental, fuel sales, boat storage, boat ramp operations, repair garage, ground and snow removal.
  • Manage cabin rental through VRBO including guest check in, check out, housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Oversees all operations aspects of Salmon Acres including reservations, housekeeping, property maintenance, grounds, licenses and day pass sales, and snow removal.
  • Oversees all operational aspects of The Preserve including reservations, sales, herd management and property maintenance.
  • Ensures the herd at The Preserve is in good health and have annual Veterinarian checks.
  • Purchase of trophy animals for The Preserve following NYS guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must possess superior guest service skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and administrative skills.
  • Proven track record of successful team leadership and development.
  • Extensive experience with marketing, budgeting, and purchasing.
  • Must possess valid driver's license.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 11 - 20 pounds.
