About the Role
The DA Planner will assess a range of development applications and attend pre-development meetings with industry representatives. This role is for career-focused individuals willing to provide a high level of service to the Liverpool community.
Responsibilities
- Assess a range of development applications
- Attend pre-development meetings with industry representatives
- Provide written and verbal advice regarding land use, zoning, planning legislation, Council policy and procedures
- Analyze development proposals
- Attend pre-development application meetings with the development industry and the community
- Assist in updating policies and procedures
- Create new policies and procedures where required
Requirements
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Experience in development assessment is necessary
- Experience handling a wide range of applications relating to development on industrial, commercial or residential zoned land is essential
- Experience in processing planning related enquiries
- Experience and ability to work in a team environment
- Experience communicating with various internal and external stakeholders including the community, professional industry and Council employees in relation to development assessment inquiries
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must obtain a National Police Check
- May be required to undergo a pre-employment medical check

Salary/Compensations
- $101,247.21 to $110,941.08 + super
