About the Role
Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is seeking a motivated physician to join our team of House Officers (Limited Permit Physician) to deliver high-quality patient care to a culturally diverse population with a wide spectrum of medical conditions, working under the supervision of an Attending Physician.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and document findings accurately and comprehensively.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests under the direction of the supervising physician.
- Provide appropriate medical treatment and management of patient conditions as directed by the supervising physician.
- Prescribe medications if permitted under the supervising physician's scope and facility policies.
- Perform medical procedures within the scope of their training and as authorized by the supervising physician.
- Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance, disease management, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited medical school (MD, DO, or equivalent).
- Successful completion of required USMLE or COMLEX examinations.
- Eligibility for or possession of a New York State Limited Permit to practice medicine.
- Strong clinical skills and medical knowledge.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care and ethical medical practice.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
