About the Role

Campari Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to join the Commercial team in Newcastle. This role is responsible for the consumer's initial experience with our brands in the Independent Free Trade (IFT) channel, focusing on brand activation and commercial deals. You will formulate and implement sales plans for the independent on-trade sector, develop accounts to maximize sales revenue and profitability based on KPIs, and identify new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Account Sales Plans based on brand plans to target accounts that fit each brand’s profile.
  • Achieve new listings and target Rate of Sale in independent bars, clubs, or restaurants and negotiate contracts.
  • Maintain and manage the portfolio with a regular sales call cycle to achieve menu features and bar displays.
  • Implement promotional activities and incentives to deliver agreed-upon results.
  • Maintain an updated database on the portfolio.
  • Provide feedback on competitor activities and market trends in the independent style bar sector and target on-trade accounts.
  • Complete administrative requirements, including weekly journey plans, monthly reports, and customer contact reports in real time.
  • Deliver world-class execution at the point of purchase (POP) to create a brand experience that differentiates from competitors in ‘Halo’ accounts/groups.
  • Control the budget for the region and consider it in current and future proposals to management.
