About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Snowy 2.0 Owners Team. This role offers the chance to be the commercial backbone of a legacy project, working alongside a passionate team in the heart of the beautiful Snowy Mountains. Ideal for those who thrive on complex commercial challenges, enjoy site visits, and want to help guide a historic project to success.

Responsibilities

• Manage forecasting, cash flow, negotiation of variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Administer head contract/main subcontract/secondary subcontractors quantity surveying.
• Handle commercial correspondence and review monthly progress claims.
• Negotiate with contractors/subcontractors to secure advantageous terms and maintain positive relationships.
• Conduct site surveillance to review contractor progress, complete diaries, and gather commercial data.
• Provide direction, encouragement, and support to junior Quantity Surveyors.

Requirements

• Proactive communicator skilled in building relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
• Hands-on experience in the civil engineering or roads industry.
• Strong grasp of EPC and remeasurement forms of contract.
• Solid understanding of current Construction Law.
• Exceptional skills in commercial forecasting, monthly reporting, earned value analysis, and generating Bills of Quantities.
• Ability to multitask, manage tight deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively.
