About the Role

The purpose of this position is to assist the Cyber Security & Privacy Risk Services division by conducting IT and cyber security audits and consulting engagements for various clients across Australia.

Responsibilities

• Develops a basic ability to apply fundamental cyber, consulting, and audit skills.
• Progressively able to understand and document information systems and processes correctly.
• Develops a basic ability to apply the fundamentals of cyber security, IT audit, and risk management.
• Understands information security controls and their relation to engagement requirements.
• Understands and performs tests of internal controls and audit procedures as directed.
• Identifies and refers ethical, independence, and conflict issues to supervisors.
• Develop a working knowledge of fundamental electronic audit tools.
• Completes allocated tasks in accordance with directions given.
• Maintains personal documentation, including training records, time sheets, and expenses.

Requirements

• Completed tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar.
• Basic knowledge of IT and Cyber Security frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in Cyber Security, IT auditing of application systems, networking, databases, change management, and other related IT governance and operational functions is desirable.
