About the Role

Nscale is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to own the sparing strategy and vendor governance for its GPU and supporting hardware infrastructure. This role involves building processes from scratch, ensuring spares availability, holding vendors accountable, and managing complex operational programs.

Responsibilities

  • Document vendor support models, entitlements, and SLAs for compute, network, and cooling OEMs.
  • Define and implement sparing plans, including part types, quantities, and stocking locations.
  • Monitor sparing plans against consumption and failure data.
  • Build a governance framework and cadence (QBRs, SLA scorecards) to hold vendors accountable.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor commitments.
  • Provide visibility on spares availability, consumption rate, and fill rate across the business.
  • Define KPIs to measure program effectiveness.
  • Refine processes between Nscale and vendors regarding spares management.
  • Expand strategic sparing and vendor strategy as the hardware footprint grows.

Requirements

  • Strong communicator with a bias for action and clear understanding of trade-offs.
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, including vendor management.
  • Prior experience managing supply chain workflows for datacenter or AI hyperscalers.
  • Experience supporting business operations and understanding operational realities.
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working with global team members, hands-on with data, and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Ability to hold vendors accountable.
  • Exposure to datacenter environments, specifically hyperscale operations tied to spares and operations, is a plus.
