About the Role
As a WINTEL Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of Windows-based infrastructure environments, including managing servers, active directory, and virtualisation platforms to ensure secure, stable, and high-performing IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows Server environments across on-premise and cloud platforms.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP services.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning.
- Perform patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
- Build, configure, and deploy servers and virtual machines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and outages.
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
- Support and maintain virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V).
- Implement and maintain security controls in line with best practices.
- Collaborate with network, security, and application teams on infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Australian citizen (required for Defence projects) with a min AGSVA NV1 clearance.
- Communicates clearly and confidently, both written and verbal.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Builds positive relationships and manages stakeholders effectively.
- Works well independently and takes initiative.
- Can manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Adapts easily to change and works well in a team environment.
